Ivy's 100th birthday cake

Ivy Leonard from Blackpool is no ordinary 100 year old woman as, not only is she an avid Abba fan who jet sets off to Florida every year, but at 94 she was knocked down in a road traffic accident and came fighting back despite a broken pelvis and shoulder.

To celebrate her special day, her daughter Anne Smart contacted her favourite bakers Sayers in Blackpool and asked if we could make a special 100 digit Abba themed cake for her party at the Ruskin Hotel on the 3rd May.  We were so delighted that we agreed to make a giant themed cake as a gift and presented it to her on Thursday 29th April at her local shop.

Sayers Shop Manager Joan Williams said: “We were delighted when we were asked to help make Ivy’s birthday extra special.  She’s been a great customer for many years now and we wish her all the best.”
